EDIS pin2 pulse?

Hey everybody,

I'm using MSII v3, 2.886 code, relay board and EDIS4.

I'm not running on edis yet, but that doesn't really matter, it's piggybacking right now.

I've recently converted to LPG, and this involves using a timing relay, which should cut off my LPG valves after 1,5sec when it doesn't ...

Re: ITB tuning questions

Yeah thats what I have been thinking about, I am going to do some homework, try and figure it out. Its pretty simple I guess. Any major differences when switching over? Do you still use the TPS based accel enrichment? Are your maps pretty linear then as far as Idle to Full throttle? Do you have a ...

Re: ITB tuning questions

I went with Alpha-N...

viewtopic.php?f=31&t=33557

You also could try to use MAP/alpha-N blending instead of switching to a complete other table (because as far as I know, you can't switch to another table based on tps)

TPS% as base for max performance

First of all, keep in mind that I'm running Alpha-N, because my MAP isn't much informative due to my throttlebodies.

I´ve noticed that my TPS% varies in my cruise area.
When I first started to tune my VE tables, I drove 120km/h with 20% tps.
After several days of tuning, I noticed that my TPS ...

Re: AFR with WUE engaged

Vinister, I don't have that much cold starts (below zero)... so it all won't be that much of a problem...

The only question I'd like to see answered is how far you can rely on the AFR during warmup... if you'd set the enrichments in a way that you keep your goal afr, wouldn't that be the optimal ...

Re: AFR with WUE engaged

So... if its running smooth, and you are happy with the AFRs, then what is the problem we are trying to solve here?

I'm not happy with the AFR's... it can run smooth, but running too rich at idle can screw up my spark plugs and oil... running too lean gives its own problems. If I start the car ...

Re: AFR with WUE engaged

i really don't think the actual AFR at idle means much of anything. Several reasons:

- When cold starting, your O2 sensor is cold, and isn't as accurate as it could be
- When cold starting, the oil is cold and heavy, and the motor parts are cold and expanded thus making everything much tighter ...

AFR with WUE engaged

MSII V3 2.886 code.

I was thinking about the exhaust gasses when the engine is warming up.
Since I can see what the AFR is and what it should be, I could use this feedback to tune my WUE.

Why do you need enrichment when the engine is cold? The fuel condenses in the intake system, making the ...

Re: configuring an AFR table?

thanks again, that gives me (much needed) confidence to continue.

Modified my AFR table a bit, partly guessing where my areas are. Ran analyser from megalogviewer over it, made some big changes to my VE table, so I'll see how it works out.
After some datalogs I should see what my cruise areas are ...

Re: configuring an AFR table?

Thanks lance! But is there any way I easily can figure out where those areas are in my specific case?

For instance:
I'm idling at 55kpa and can't get it much lower. Throttlebodies are the cause probably. Everything below 50kpa could be deceleration that way.
Idle would correspond with the AFR table ...

configuring an AFR table?

MSII v3 board, 2.886 code.

I've got my car running, so now it's time to make some test runs and datalogs.
But then...? I'm unsure about the afr table which MS generated for me, since I'm running ITB's, so I don't really have target values for my AFR table.
Have read the manual several times and ...

Re: Ran good, now it's dead.

Bootloaded MS again, started again with constants etc etc, didn't work.
Changed the spark plugs, car ran like it did... so boys and girls, you can bench test your spark plugs as much as you want, under pressure (compression) they can still fail.

Re: MegaSquirt Engine Codes, Can someone point me to a list

If I'm not mistaking, running is having a rpm signal, but you're not cranking (so rpm is above cranking threshold...300 rpm or so)

Re: Ran good, now it's dead.

I've read the troubleshooting :)

Strange thing is that MS seems to work just fine... but after changing the VE table a bit it didn't run as good as it did.
Is it normal/possible that there is a delay of a few seconds after changing and burning the changes?

I haven't got a datalog, and I'll try to ...

Ran good, now it's dead.

I've rebuilt my engine, raised compression, put a set of throttlebodies on it and hooked MS on.
That all should be fine, pity that I didn't put MS on a running engine..but that's how it is.

I've got MSII v3.0, all sensors work fine except for my LC1, but that's not the issue right now. edit: Code ...
