Re: VR Sensor and No rpm reading - sort of!

get the sparkplugs out, get the engine starting at contstant rpm
and try to measure the voltage in AC over the VR-sensor.
you can try with sparkplugs, but without your battery will live longer...

if you get 2volt or more, you have a good VR-sensor and triggerwheel,
if not, try another VR-sensor ...

Re: VR Sensor and No rpm reading - sort of!

default state for trigger wheels

the default state is based on a spark-point system,
so 4 or 8 fires every rpm.

when looking at a 36-1 wheel, you will have 35 fires every rpm,
so it isn't a big surprice if you get 35/8 more rpm as supposed.

the problem with no rpm at 36-1 is probably in wrong ...

Re: Progressive throttle linkage

hi,

i went from 2x35mm SU carb's to 4x42mm Weber style throttle bodies.

you can imagine if you open 4x42mm on a 1500cc engine, you are opening very fast

anyway, with this system;

you open the throttle slowly at start and faster at the ...

Re: How does MS II work without an O2 sensor?

you can try if you have 10 cars to run on 10 maps,
1 with a low fuel map on idle up to 10 with rich fuel map on idle,
and try with fits best.
then you try 10 different cars for 10 different fuel map on high load,
and 10 different cars with fuel maps for poor load
and 10 different cars with fuel maps ...

case you guys like to hear about my Spitfire on EFI,
it runs on a 36-1 sprocket, Weber injection bodies and MS-2.

i'll try to get any intresting things here;

Re: Injector Test Mode

Because of the 8 to 10 point difference noted above, the octane shown in the United States is 4 to 5 points lower than the same fuel elsewhere: 87 octane fuel, the "regular" gasoline in the US and Canada, is 91-92 in Europe. However most European pumps deliver 95 (RON) as "regular", equivalent to 90 ...

Re: Injector Test Mode

well, it seems with an english car running on leaded eur 98 with 12.5 bar compression, you have to doubt everyting

like today i have been changing the whole AFR table to 14.7.
it seems with the 98 fuel you have to much fuel if you are running on 13.1 or more,
so i am trying 14.7, 14.5, 14 ...

Re: Injector Test Mode

you're right,
i found out that my injector opening time was 1.1 msec at 13.2 volt.
there wasn't mucht to choose, only 1.0 or 1.2 left, and those are more off.

after setting the injector opening time,
i did some test on load (fan is pulling 2 volt)
and i have it on 0.12 msec/volt correction now,
it ...

Re: Injector Test Mode

i know there will be a difference between MS and the real voltage.
but a difference of 0.4 voltage will always be there.
in the end will the MS will look for a difference from 13.2 volt,
meaning a difference from 13.6 real voltage, of 13.2 MS voltage,
the difference will be the same.

in the end it ...
