Re: Sparatic MAP drop -20

Ok so if the MAP sensor port is away from you and your looking from the top,..... the solder WILL NOT take on the 3rd prong. Its between the 102 and 104 yellow diode things. Can I jump this to somehwere, or is my bored messed up?

Re: Sparatic MAP drop -20

actually now that you said that, I think it is the connection on the MAP. One of the holes that the prong goes through for you to solder.... well some of the copper came off... So I should find another connection on the board and use a jumper wire....

Sparatic MAP drop -20

Sometimes while driving my MAP sensor will drop out and I will go LEAN and cause my Jeep to stumble and as it does this it jerks like I'm applying the brakes. This is not a problem that is consistent. It comes and goes...sometimes it will happen 3 times in 20 mins....others none. The recent log show...

making carb intake into multiport....

Is there any write-ups on doing this conversion? Taking a regualr carb intake manifold and drilling the holes for individual injectors? I know it has been done. I have a mopar 360 la block so there is no stock manifold for multiport injection. I could use one of the latter dodge 360 magnum but the h...

Re: Almost dies switching from Park to Drive...

I'm not controlling spark at the moment. But do plan to do that in the near future...perhaps over winter.

I seem to have it switching better now but still dips down to 400ish rpm which i do not like. It doesn't stall though.

Almost dies switching from Park to Drive...

When I'm in Park it will idle around 900ish RPM and be around 14.4 air/fuel. When I shift into gear it will stumble almost stalling, than idle around 600ish RPM. It will be around 14.4 or 15 air/fuel. Is there ANYWAY to make it so it won't do this? I hate having it almost stall. I'm using a chevy IA...

Re: Rich spike every so often...

This is how I have the accel enrichment set up: MAP vs TPS is set to 100%, so I'm not relying on the MAP sensor, just the TPS. TPSdot threshold % is at 20%. So your saying that the threshold could be to low? How much should I increase this??? I'll have to look through my data log and see if I can fi...

Rich spike every so often...

When driving I'll get a sudden yank, look at my air/fuel and it will be 11:1 or so. This is under normal cruising speeds. It will happen for a split second than go back to regular air/fuel. It happens at random intervals, sometimes not at all. Might happen once out of a 15min drive, may happen 4 tim...

MSD fuel pump....

I just noticed that it has a barb on the pressure side (fuel flows OUT) and that its casted into the pump housing, meaning you cannot take it off. How can a hose hold up to the 85+ psi this pump puts out?? I was going to hook it directly to a hard line, but this fitting will not allow me to do this....

great info.

When i saw that 8psi rating, i figured it was for a carb.

I think i'm just gonna go with the MSD pump. The price is in my budget. I have already spent TOOO MUCH ON THE JEEP

ok so if i purhcase that MSD pump, I will not have to regulate the fuel flow as the fuel pressure regulator on the tbi unit itself will regulate it down to what i need?? I just have to adjust it to 20psi, throw a gauge on it, check it and call it good without any worries?? Than whatever is left, wil...

73Eldo: I think my rev limit is set to 5,500k rite now with my MSD6-AL box. When I do drive up the sand dunes or through a mud pit, the RPMs will be high. As for using a 454 tbi, I have thought about it. However I have done the math and it shows the 350 tbi will flow more than i actually need. The i...

its a mopar 360 bored to a 365. Hyperutectic flat top pistons, extreme comp cam hyd. flat tappet, around 10:1 compression, headers

so its a little built.
