Diesel engines have about twice the compression of gasoline engines. I don't see how you could double the compression, and if you could, the engine would probably blow up because it wasn't designed for that much compression.

In concern of your safety, I would not try that.

If you want to temporarily check the different location, then you can make an extension by crimping the right type of terminals onto wires and plugging them into the connector. Use shrink tubing very close to the end of the terminals so they don't touch when plugged into the connector, or electrical ...

It looks like that center hose between the two throttle plates is for evap purge from the charcoal canister.

According to ALLDATA and Chilton's the top injector is the Main injector with specs of 0.6 to 1.6 ohms and the bottom injector is the Auxilary injector with specs of 6 to 10 ohms.

Fuel pressure specs are 35-36psi with vacuum hose connected to fuel pressure regulator and 40-50psi with vacuum hose ...

Modern vehicles that use a returnless fuel system pulse width modulate the fuel pump to keep the pressure at the desired level. I don't believe Megasquirt has this ability.

Also, it seems to me that the regulator restricts fuel flow to build pressure, so if you put it at the tank then it would ...
