Re: uneffective "delay teeth"

i think during cranking it uses whatever you have cranking trigger in ignition setup set too you may be set on trigger rise if so you could try trigger fall and maybe get a better responce and there is also calculated if the trigger fall doesn't help. Zane

Re: Can the VE tables compensate for returnless fuel reg?

yeah this is true or aeromotive and some other companies make a voltage controller for the pump similar to what oem uses but i'm guessing that would do away the cheap cause i already got it to use method of the setup. Zane

Re: Cranking/Not Cranking issue

weird i'm guessing you have already checked the settings in megatune maybe your cable to the megasquirt has a bad connection ran into that on a friends car with the tps wiring bad joint on the db37 plug maybe you could see if the hei will fire a coil itself to be sure it works too. Zane

Re: Can the VE tables compensate for returnless fuel reg?

if gm can do it you can too just do like you were saying and if you don't take enough it will be rich and you can take out a little more at a time till you get it right a good wide band would make it easy but you could probably get it to drive ok by ear Zane

Re: injectors

depends on the injector but most of them have a fine cone shaped mist a stream could mean low fuel pressure or a nasty injector. Zane

Re: ITBs and fuel pressure regulators

I don't personally have one on a car but the advantage is supposed to be that when the motor is in vaccum idiling or cruising it reduces the fuel pressue so that the difference between the intake pressure and fuel pressure is the same as anywere throughout the load rpm range wot would be 0 intake ...

Re: Injectors not Grounding Through MS-II

You can't really check injector voltage with a meter its a fast switching action on and off you need a scope or a light. There is a special light that will pull into the injector plug on your harness or you can wire in your own but you will have to turn the motor over to see if it is firing the ...

Re: e85 tune for a 22re

when you figure your required fuel in megatune its under fuel and injector control, it will ask for air fuel ratio 8.5 is a good starting number there and the ve able generator will make you a table close enough to start up on just whatch your timing and keep it low to start e-85 has a good ron ...

Re: runs, then dies

don, i couldn't get the msq downloaded but i was wondering if you are using the high out put ignition to directly drive your coil if so the dwell might be too long and the transistor or coil one may be overheating just another thought as the newer ig transistor has a thermal cut out and will work ...

Re: req_fuel question

the high required fuel shouldn't hurt anything unless you runout of fuel on the top end or under load but if the injectors are big enough and the ve table is set to make up the difference it should be fine just check the duty cycle under load usually 80 is a safe limit
