Re: Multiple relays running from fuel pump drive?

The injectors and the ECU on the main relay should be switched by your key. What stepper motor are you talking about? IAC?

Re: Fan wiring

I use my fidle port for this and it works great. I turn the fan on at 180. With a 10 degree hysteresis the fan turns back off at 170.

Re: Question about MS for just fuel injection.

Thanks for the replies, think I'm going to get an RPM performer, add some injector bungs, make a fuel rail, and a 90* adapter and run a 65mm tb from a mustang on it. Any idea why this wouldn't work?

Go with a single plane manifold. There is no need to a dual plane when there is no fuel in the ...

Re: Looking for EDIS8 VR sensor bracket ideas

I just finished the EDIS setup. Thanks Matt for the Bronco link. I did a similar setup but on the other side. I have a spare engine on hand so I used it for mocking up the parts. Here are some photos.

Re: Question about MS for just fuel injection.

Look at the photos on post three of this thread. This is a large cap on my 331. It cleared with no problem.

Re: Question about MS for just fuel injection.

I have a 331 in an old Falcon. I started with fuel only before moving on to the ignition.

For your project I would go with a MS2 V3. You can do fuel only if you want but there is always the option of doing the ignition later if you want.

I used an Edelbrock EFI intake and throttle body. Here is a ...

Re: inaccurate rpm reading (msl attached)

MSD offers a noise filter (part number 8830). I added one to my MSD 6AL equipped car prior to going EFI. I had a lot of noise in the radio and this cleaned it up nicely.

Looking for EDIS8 VR sensor bracket ideas

Hey All,

I have a small block Ford V8. I starting my EDIS8 install. I've been staring at the front of my engine thinking about how to get this sensor attached. I plan to install the trigger wheel between the balancer and pulley. There is spacer in there now that I'll narrow on a lathe to make room ...

Re: Dual plane manifolds......OK, or NO way

If you already have the dual plane then go ahead and use it. Although if you plan to modify it for port injection I probably wouldn't go to the trouble and expense. Start with a single plane for that.

Re: when I say noob... I mean NOOB

I'm by no means an expert but I do have a running MS2 project under my belt. If it were me, I would procure an LS style EFI port injection manifold. You can find the OEM version or look at any number of aftermarket units. There are ones that take a four barrel throttle body to keep the old style ...

Re: EFI for Bonneville

I know a guy like Brian. He won't even run electronic ignition because they aren't reliable. Insists that points are better  .

Anyway, you probably end up with the Microsquirt because space and weight will be a factor. You'll want a wide band O2 sensor. The LC1 is what I use and it works well ...

Re: Engine runs with key off - MSD ignition related

I tested the diode fix. It works. I placed the diode inline with the wire to the dash warning light at the alternator. This is a temporary fix until I get time to open the dash and move it to there.

Re: Engine runs with key off - MSD ignition related

I was fiddling with this this morning. I found the cause but haven't fixed it yet. I have a one wire Powermaster alternator. This car came originally with a 30A generator. This new alternator has the charge wire going straight to the battery. There is a second optional connection for the gen/alt ...

Re: Engine runs with key off - MSD ignition related

Well I was trying to sort this out this evening with no luck. I'm working on a diagram to post. But in the meantime, you can just refer to the standard V3 MS2 diagram from MegaManual. I followed it exactly. The differences are that where you see the yellow wire from the switch to pin 86 on the main ...

Re: Engine runs with key off - MSD ignition related

I stopped at Radio Shack on my way home from work. I now have a IN4001 diode. I wired it across the coil of the IGN relay which is also in parallel with the EFI relay. The stripe on the relay was connected toward the +12V side. It didn't help.

I'm thinking about changing the trigger side of the IGN ...

Engine runs with key off - MSD ignition related

Hey All,

I just moved the switched 12V wire of my MSD 6AL box to my relay panel. Just to be clear - prior to this everything was working just fine. I have a row of seven Tyco/Bosch relays in a custom relay panel. I've been working on tidying up my under hood wiring and moved the MSD box to the ...

Re: MS manuals in PDF format??

I like to have it electronically but would like to have it available no Internet access is available. Such as when I'm tuning away from home. I have WiFi at home so it's no problem. I would keep it on my iPad and my garage laptop for easy access.
