Ok I think i've answered my own question after looking at the circuit diagrams. Yes i cxan do this.. i just need to find which side of the resistors to take from and cut the leg the right side and join that to my jumpers... should be a doddle... but probably wont be

First problem was with one LED D16 not working and tapping it resulted in an intermittant.
So i resoldered this and it stopped completely.
So i removed it and dont ask me how, but i found it would only work if soldered right on the very top of the pcb.. without the legs going through.. No matter ...
