Re: Jeep 4.0 w/6 tooth distributor wheel setup help

Thanks bleoh, I'm pretty sure something on his end is just not right. Distributor not clocked right, plugs in wrong order or cam timing off something like that. I'll keep the 0 trigger wheel setting (cuz thats the only thing that works lol ) but I'm pretty sure there is going to be a significant ...

Re: Jeep 4.0 w/6 tooth distributor wheel setup help

Well. Just and update here, we actually got her fired up the first time we tried, which I consider and accomplishment being that this is the first MS I've built myself, and my buddy's first wiring job for anything this big.

When it does run though it is extremely rough, misses and backfires, have ...

Jeep 4.0 w/6 tooth distributor wheel setup help

Heyas,

So I built an MS-II v.3.0 for my buddy's jeep stroker. In another thread Matt had mentioned that a lot of jeeps came with a single tooth wheel in the distributor, which was correct. So my buddy went and got a 6 tooth wheel out of a similar distributor, old wheel comes out and the 6 tooth ...

Re: Jeep cherokee with MSII No RPM

I'll soon be building an MSII for my buddy's Jeep 4.0, isn't there also a position sensor in the distributor?

Re: EDIS module issues

Any simple way to check the EDIS module other than by substitution? For example, will it still produce the PIP signal with the coils unplugged - or with no plugs connected to them?

Only way I know of is stated in the EDIS documentation at megamanual, by disconnecting the SAW signal from the MS ...

EDIS module issues

Heyas, I'm running an MS2 SMD board on a customer's 280z fitted with the EDIS 6. We have had a bit of trouble with the system and I need some advice on where to go next.

Our first setup we bought used from Boost Engineering. $100 for the setup so it couldn't really be beat.

We had some ...

Re: tach signal drop out

Well, we got a different EDIS module and installed it and the problem disappeared for a while. Tach signal does not drop out at all at idle any more like it used to. I was doing some driveability tuning around the neighborhood and made a short boosted pull in 3rd and the tach signal dropped from ...

IAT corrections for colder weather

Hey all.

So for a while now we have had our 280z running with an MS2 v3 board. Last week we were doing some street tuning and pushing 10psi the car was running great up until about 5200rpm where I noticed the injectors were starting to max out. I saw the duty cycle hitting 92% or so and decided ...

Re: tach signal drop out

I'm having a similar issue with a VR sensor, MSII w/ v.2.890 and 3.57 board smd style assembled by DIY. Running EDIS.

Tach signal will drop out randomly, from a steady idle to 0. Today it dropped out enough to put the MS back into warmup and afterstart enrichments.

VR sensor wiring is thoroughly ...

Re: Timing light - dumber is better.

We too have been having a problem getting two different dial-back timing lights to work with our EDIS 6 setup. Gets no signal at all clamped on the #1 plug wire. Looks like I need to get myself a "dumber" timing light, lol.
