Re: Another enrichment question.

Thanks Lance. We all appreciate your help here! And, thanks for moving this to the right section of the forum. I'm sure by now there is so much written and documented in the manual, every question could receive the reply, "this is covered in the manual". It is a fabulous resource. People have put ...

Another enrichment question.

After reading the MEga Manual section on enrichment settings, I noticed that my threshold setting for the TPS accel enrichment was 200%. And the proportion of TPS/MAP was 100%, which if I understand this, means the MAP accel function is not used at all, since the TPS would never go over 100% in its ...

enrichment percentage logic?

What is the logic one applies in deciding what percentage of accel enrichment to be TPS and MAP based? Mine came with the default set at 100% TPS. Is there a reason to change this, and what would it be? How does this effect driving or economy?

Thanks, Sam

Re: why edis?

Yes that was a big help. It is a start for sure. I printed the pages out and will study them until I need more info. Right now, I do not know what a PIP is, but I expect to find out with some reading. I always feel a little silly when I ask a question that is answered in the Manual, but it is so big ...

Re: why edis?

Can anybody point me to a wiring diagram of an EDIS system that would be right for a six cylinder? It sounds like a good alternative to an old distributor with a reluctor and pick up. Would the MSD box go away with an EDIS?

Re: Upgrading to MS II

Thanks Lance. I appreciate the link and direction. I read as much of the info as I could grasp in a single session, and feel maybe doing the plug and play daughter card is still a little intimidating to me. It sounded simple enough at first, and I was with it until they started talking about adding ...

Upgrading to MS II

I am certain this has been asked a bunch, but here goes anyway. Please bear with me.

I have MS I running pretty well on a Mopar slant six. Most tuning parameters are well tuned. I was considering upgrading to MS II and have the following questions?

1. What are the main selling points over MS I ...

Re: tuning cold start question

Made prime pulse shorter, and after start enrichment number bigger, as well as cold acell number bigger.Wide band O2 gauge helped with accel enrichment. Gauge shows nothing but count down until in calibrates itself, which takes a minute. This was no help with prime pulse, or after start enrichment ...

Re: tuning cold start question

Thanks! That is a help. So priming pulse might be too rich, and the after-start enrichment might be too lean? Is that right.

By the way, if you haven't read my comments before, Mega Squirt ROCKS. :yeah!: I mean this is so straight forward, and easy to learn. The support here is worth $1000's.

tuning cold start question

Am tuning MS I with 2.25. Car starts OK, but needs slight throttle opening to fire. Once started, it will keep running, but roughly. It you touch the throttle at this point it dies. After 2 or 3 tries, it keeps running. Do you think I should make the after start enrichment more or less? Is it now ...

Re: VE values will not save to ECU.

Alt B is the keystroke that "Burns" the table to the flash memory.

VE values will not save to ECU.

Hi. I can tune my slant six nicely, but the values I put in the table will not save to the ECU. I press "S" as directed in the help menu, but the box below clearly states table has not been burned to ECU. And, when I turn it off, and restart it, sure enough, the old values are back in the table ...
