not to discourage you (me being 18 as well ) but ITBs on a v8 will have a touchy throttle and might not be nice to drive on the street. with that said, go for it!

ve analyze works too.. i just never got it to work well for me on the laptop. usually i do a log, load it in megalogviewer, and then update the controller with my new tune through tuner studio. that always got me the best results.

she was fine and the car is running.

130mph @ 12.4 AFR

im calling it a night.. it needs some work but lets just say im driving it to work tomorrow confidently.

ripped out the Shielded ign wire and stripped it down a little further and had my mom hold it in place while i cranked the car (injectors not wired)

car got a tach signal! but didnt start due to no injectors. So im not sure what was wrong with the original wiring but now its getting a tach signal ...

Okay so i did a few tests


first test went like so. I had the MS plugged in and stock ecu unplugged

i put a test light on the spliced joint and grounded it to the battery.. and of course when i crank, i get no light.

i then unhooked MS and plugged my stock ecu in.. had the test light still on ...

no rpm signal while cranking

this makes me somewhat happy because it now makes sense why the car wont spark or squirt fuel.

im going to check over pin 24's wiring and see if i can figure something out

the tune i was looking at (is a daily driven tune) was .7 and msd says 350 so i guess it dosnt really matter


i tried to put something ridiculous (to get TS to use a default value and 8.5 was that value)

i plan on putting max dwell duration to 2.8 (between 2.5 and 3.0)

max spark duration is at .7ms but MSD tech said to put it at 350ms

are you saying i should run a max spark duration of 1 or 2?? im new to this stuff
