Re: 3.57 stumble and dies at idle

From reading various information on trigger offset and rotor phasing it appears for a dizzy driven signal to work through ms2 the following is required:
Align damper at 25 degrees btdc.
Drop distributor in so the pointer is aiming at #1 on cap.
Set tuner studio:
'tools';
'trigger wizard' 25 degrees ...

high current driver no spark.

regarding the non-functioning current driver some more forum digging revealed a basic ecu voltage test that matt prescribed, the results are:
megstim 2.21 not attached to ecu;
pin #33 = 10v, pin #29 = 12.7v,
ms2 3.57 attached to megastim;
q9, q12, s12 = 10.3v, s12 = 9.9v,
u5, d9, u5, d19 = 5v,
pin 1 ...

Re: TFI Ignition RPM reading, but no spark.

pretty much the same scenario as previous post concerning high current ignition driver, no spark;
tuner studio shows rpm via tach shielded wire when hall sensor dizzy is spun with a drill but no coil spark when relay board s5 goes to coil negative,
also the stimulator ig led doesn't show any ...

bip 373

the transistor sitting in the bip 373 heat sink location reads;

is this the same as a bip 373 or a substitute?(1)
there used to be 0.6v showing on relay board S5/pin 36 when bench testing the mallory dizzy with 6100 module,

Re: VW Distributor Hall sensor

All respect to the tech's experience, but I'd be surprised to find a Hall sensor in a distributor that couldn't be made to signal something as flexible as a MegaSquirt. He may have meant that the 12v signal couldn't be used directly with an ECU expecting +5v; I'll agree with that part, but that is ...

Re: VW Distributor Hall sensor

a mallory technician just informed the 6100m hall sensor used in their distributor must see a range from +12v to -2v to properly signal the distributor, he also said this hall sensor will not work with an ecu and either the 77201 excell or 1255104 mallory distributor must be used with ecu controlled ...
