changing to lambda for E85

I am running a roots blown E85 set up (injection above the blower only, no port). Originally, Peter Florence (very talented tuner) set up my system using the standard AFR for gasoline and just tuned accordingly. My engine seemed to be happy around 11-12 AFR. Anyway Im thinking of switching my ...

increasing boost tune steps

Im new to tuning so spoon feed me. I have a roots-blown, e85, MS-II application currently has a basic tune for 6 PSI at WOT that was done on a chassis dyno by a professional tuner. The MS-II is being used for fuel only! I want to change the pulley and start getting the boost up for the track. The ...

Another fidle to fan issue

All,

I am using the fiddle circuit to turn on my fan on my MSII application. It is set to come on at 190 and off at 180. But in normal operation, it isn't turning the fan on. (Thank god I have a fail-safe and wired in a toggle.) The circuit work fine and does activate the fan during test mode when ...

Re: IAT and tuning

logical pv=nRT....

So now I am suffering from cold sink! Due to adiabatic cooling above the blower (especially with the E85), the IAT is seeing colder temperatures that what would be representative of the charge going into the cylinders. So, should I reduce the IAT correction? Will it accept a ...

Re: IAT and tuning

Matt,

reviving this thread. I am running a blown application, e85, injecting above the blower only. I was running the IAT below the blower but getting terrible heatsoak so I moved it above the blower. Under normal conditions, does the IAT signal with increasing temp adjust the fuel curve rich or ...

Re: wiring relay board for fan control

Thanks guys....now I'm with you. I also read the amp limitations on the fidle board relay as well, thats why I wanted to just use the existing external fan relay. I'll just connect the pinout on the MS2 to the ground on my external fan relay ground. So, just out of curiosity, I guess connection pin6 ...

Re: wiring relay board for fan control

Dave, OK you lost me already. I am sure its me! More simplified question: I thought i connected pinout6 (fidle) on the relay board to the ground of the fan relay. When the ECU calls for the conditions to be met, it simply grounds the fan relay through the MS2? I am not using the fidle relay on the ...

wiring relay board for fan control

Guru's, realizing this has been asked numerous times before...I read through the strings on related item but just to be sure because I am not an electronics whiz:

I want to control my fan relay with the fidle using my relay board/MS2: Wire the ground on the fan relay to pin 6 of the relay board ...

Re: TunerStudio droping out on running motor only

Phil,

It was the cable. That fixed it!

BTW, another unrelated but interesting problem that peter florence and I came across: I am running a chevy v6 odd-fire motor, electromotive ignition, MS2 for fuel only. The thing would start and die after 5 seconds or so. The logs showed a drop in the tach ...

Re: TunerStudio droping out on running motor only

Did a search and found this string because I am suffering the same exact issue. My laptop communicates with the MSII just fine as long as the motor isnt running. As soon as I start the car, it loses communication. I am running the cable and adapter that I purchased from DIY (as well as the driver ...

Re: questions regarding MTX install using E85

Matt,

No worries. After talking with Peter, we felt it would be easier to just use the standard gasoline calibration numbers in the LM programmer and the LC1 defaults in the MS. O2 readings are currently showing about 10.0-10.3.

questions regarding MTX install using E85

Just finished installing an Innovate MTX sensor and now need advice on programming with my MSII. I changed the fuel settings in the O2 programmer/controller to E85 and I calibrated the O2 per the innovate instructions. Now to change the O2 in the MSII I have several questions:

1. I know I go to the ...
