Target Idle RPM
4.3 TBI, MSII, v3.0
Am I missing something here?
I am at 0 degrees top dead center like 4.3 tbi is supposed to be without computer advancement. I can't get the idle to come down from 1500rpm. I have moved the trigger offset up to 25.0 and that brings the rpm down to 1100. I move the rpm ...

So I confirmed and re-confirmed my engine is has a base ignition timing of 0 degrees at TDC on the #1 cylinder.

According to my spark table based off of the map reading and advance, the rpm is right wear it should be. I have ...

Timing set?
Anyone have any suggestions for setting TDC on my 4.3 TBI, MSII, v3.0
I read from several sources online that at idle factory ECM is looking to keep the advance at 20 degrees. My MS II is currently at 20 advance (read out in tunerstudio and confirmed with a timing light that has an advance ...

Spark table tuning
I am a first time tuner and have read through the various manuals a few times. I have the basic steps but I am getting to a points where I can't make the next step.
4.3 TBI, MSII, V3.0
Question 1: Once idling (around 1500rpms) would it be best to tune the spark table first to try and get ...

Re: Base Timing
This is probably a stupid question but: How do I know which is the bypass connector?
I have read all about the bypass wire on stock situations but I have never had that situation and I made all the connections to the distributor as per the megamanual 8 pin module.

Base Timing
Question 1) Can anyone tell me how to configure MSII v3.0 to not adjust advance so that way I set my distributor back to TDC on the #1 cylinder with a 4.3 TBI, HEI, 8-pin module?
Question 2) Can ...

Quick Start
In the mega manual it states that MSII will start your engine quickly and reliably.
Question: How quickly is it supposed to start the engine? My engine takes several sections to catch and start running. It actually sounds like it is cranking faster then the engine wants to go ...

Re: Idle RPMs Increases as Engine Warms Up
Also changed the accel enrich to trigger off of the MAP instead of the TPS encase that 5% fluctuation makes a difference. This did not seem to help either.
It still idles around 1500rpms. Tonight I shut it off and restarted so it ...

Re: Tune analyze live - help with idle?
I noticed the TPS noise as well. On the graph it looks like a lot however, it only fluctuates between 3-5%.

Re: Idle RPMs Increases as Engine Warms Up
Even at fully warm 160 degrees (as in TS) it is still idling high. I have it fully closed at 160 steps as the manual suggests.
Any suggestions

Re: Tune analyze live - help with idle?
I have read that document backward, forward, and side to side. Even my wife has read that document.
I still have idle frustrations.
Idle starts at 1300 rpms and warms up to 1900 rpms. It seems as if my IAC was going backward. I had it wired backward and then switched ...

Tune analyze live - help with idle?
I am trying to get my 4.3 TBI idling properly.

4.3 TBI with MSII version 3.0
TunerstudioMS 3.0
GM HEI 8 pin module
DIYAutoTune 10' wire harness
IAC - GM IAC, 4 wire (square plug ...
