I want to give MAF a whirl, but I am unable to find any dimensions on the Internet. My requirement is for a 3.5L engine with a 6500 rpm red line. It is inconceivable to me that the processor hardware design would allow missed interrupts.

I am sure you have triple check this. Never the less so thing must have gone astray. Could the compiler be the culprit? Perhaps the following Freescale forum can help.
