Matt Cramer wrote:An MS1 shouldn't have any trouble with those; MS2 can run much larger ones and still keep the idle as smooth as your cam will allow.
Matt,

It seems as though you are implying that the MS2 will be able to produce a better idle. If yes, why?

Re: IAC Valve

Instead of a 'choke' cable acting on the throttle, it might be easier to run a vacuum hose to a valve near the driver - so you can operate it manually. After all, the IAC valve itself is just a controlled vacuum leak, and MegaSquirt is only concern about the MAP, not how it gets into the manifold ...

Abacus is highly recommeded by my Triumph vintage racing friends as a excellent engine building shop. I have no personal experience with them, but I live in WA, not VA

Another advantage of a temperture controllled station is that I use it, with a different tip, for melting P-tex when I repair ski bottoms.

Re: West Coast MegaMeet 2009 - Oct 10-11th 2009

Great event! Thank you Bruce, Al and Lance. I’m amazed, not only about the capabilities of MS3, but how fast it is coming down the pike.

Lance, I hung out at Pacific Raceways in the paddock area until 9:15 Sunday morning with the TR8, but couldn’t find the group and finally took off. Sorry I ...

It's a piece of chain link fence post <Blush>, with three pipe nipples welded to the side of the top and one to the side near the bottom.

Top nipples
- In from fuel rail return
- In from low pressure fuel pump
- Out to fuel tank

Bottom
- Out to the inlet of the high pressure fuel pump.

I built ...

As stated above 2 or 3, but 3 is best, as it is the least likely to be affected by changes in throttle, etc. and best reflects what the runners will see. You can tee off the OEM tap, if it comes off with a hose.

The MS is relatively insensitive to hose length (volume). I used a plenum tap for my MS ...

Connectors can be had at a junk yard.

I have made wire grommets out of RTV. Just very lightly coat the sides of the "mold" you need to remove with grease; kind of a wipe on, then wipe off with your finger tip. The RTV won't stick to a greasy surface and the "grommet" will be removable.

I never understood that logic either... I must be wrong, but I would think that by the time the coolant is warm enough to warm the incoming air, the engine is warm enough to not require warmed incoming air!

Re: harness glue

I'm wondering what people do exactly to make the connection to the DB37 reliable.

Check out item #2 in the link below. It's simple and straightforward to solder up these connectors. It just takes some patience. It's not quite as easy as building a relay board, but it's easy if you plan ahead and ...

While they do not have them on his site, you may try call in http://www.intakehoses.com/ to see if he can get what you need.

I've bought from them and was very happy with the product and service, but have no interest in the business.

You can stage the two TB's with a progressive linkage, so you start on one and the other comes on later, but faster, with both gettng to full opening together.
