is it possible to splice into the wire going to the ignition coil for the ecm and use that as an rpm signal for ms ?

i am using an external pump from bosch...used for a 6 cylinder engine. i am running 8*220cc injectors on my car and approximately 1 bar o boos and it seems to be holding up fine. 1 think to remember is that a pump either gives you good suction or good pressure...not both.i had a pump to suck fuel ...
