Injector placement, 2-stroke

Any thoughts of the best placement for the injectors ( one pr cylinder ) on a multi cylinder engine ??

Before the shutter
After the shutter, before the reeds.
After the reeds, inside crankcase

Cylinder head are no option here.

At this moment I only got some parts an a weak wild idea :) , it's a long term project .

Some tech data :
6 cylinder
2-stroke
1.6L
Estimated 150 hp ++ ?
Individual throttle body's
MAF

After shutter but before reeds is my vote. You don't want to be fueling before the shutter/slider/throttle plate IMO. That would be inefficient and not the best choice for good fuel atomization. After the reed, I dunno if that would mess up the way a 2 stroke works. The reed valve is supposed to be stopping fuel/air flow, I wouldn't want to be injecting fuel after it.


Our of curiousity, how do you tune a 2-stroke with MS? I've been told you cannot use a wideband on a 2-stroke so do you just go by EGT's?

Wasn't planing on aether, but it was one out of several possibilities...

The reeds will still do their work ( as a one way valve ), it has been done before.

Don't know yet :lol: , it has been done before so I should be able to replicate it...........

And in the end ....it's just for fun..
