Throttle Body Part -- Need a Source

Post by skfitz »

Anyone know where to buy the plug that goes in the gap circled in red?

It's a Rochester throttle body for 4.3L V6 early 90s GM engine. My local dealer couldn't find it on his parts sheet. Go figure.

If you can't buy it from a dealer I would check in a junk yard. Is it under any kind of pressure at all? You could use some of the silver RTV, since it's high torque and I do believe is also fuel resistant.

Thanks guys. Yes, it's where the wires pass through. It's not under pressure, but left unplugged it would allow unfiltered air into the injection chamber.

For now I'm using a molded a polymer plug I made with the injector wires passing through. It's airtight, but I'm just not sure how long it'll last.

Will plunder junkyard.
