Using the VR circuit with a Hall Sensor?

Post by vwRobb »

I see that you can use the VR circuit with a Hall Sensor, my question is how do you wire the hall sensor and how many volts do you send to it? I'm using a VW crank hall effect sensor. Please help.

Within this thread I believe it says 5v or 12v, depending on the output level you want: http://www.microsquirt.com/viewtopic.php?f=87&t=22790

But check the datasheet for your sensor -- it may restrict the voltage you use. And the datasheet will likely tell you how to wire it up.
