MAF and 4 pin stepper IAC
Hi all just looking to find out if I can run a MAF and a 4 pin stepper IAC. From what I understand pin 29 is used for the MAF input signal to MS , but pin 29 is used in the 4 pin stepper control?
I hope I have just misunderstood something, I am building my harness now and this has become a problem for me
Thanks
Sam

Re: MAF and 4 pin stepper IAC
Ok so I have to pick an unused pin on the DB37 use that for my MAF signal. I get a little lost at that point. I am looking to MAF only so the map sensor pin 1 gets disconnected? and I jumper JS5 to where the map pin 1 was connected? at what point do I connect the unused pin on the DB37 into the mix.Matt Cramer wrote:You can run both together, but pin 29 is best used for the stepper. There is no default MAF pin, you'll have to use one unassigned pin for that. See this link:

Ok so I looked at the link again, when I printed it the page it ended so I thought the JS5 was involled in the MAF only set up but looking at the link the JS5 is used on the maf map blend.wildwestsydney wrote:Ok so I have to pick an unused pin on the DB37 use that for my MAF signal. So do I just bring in the MAF sensor signal to pin 1 of the on board map sensor, of course disconnect pin 1?
thanks

Re: MAF and 4 pin stepper IAC
Also on the link to the MAF info under the MAF and MSII section there is a chart that references Port and jumper to, under the port title it states ADO what does ADO mean? It also talks about a 1K Ohm resistor where would the resistor go, and what is its purpose.
I have much better mechanical skills tha electrical but with some dumb questions I can get through the electrical.
thanks

Re: MAF and 4 pin stepper IAC

There are eight analog to digital inputs on the MS2, number AD0 through AD7, for Analog to Digital [number]. Note that the MAP sensor already has a 1K resistor between it and the processor.

Re: MAF and 4 pin stepper IAC
I am going to disconect pin 1 of the map and jumper SPR1 to where pin 1 was and use pin 3 on the DB37 to bring in the MAF signal.
THANKS!!!
