Installing Codewarrior

Post by MiniVL »

Ok all you Codewarrior junkies out there....
I've downloaded Codewarrior from freescale and want to install it on an external harddrive...reason is to have portability for my programming so I can program both at home and at work. (I don't have a laptop at this point in time)

Is it possible to install it on an external harddrive or does it have to go to the default C:\ location???

I've been searching Msefi and i recall somewhere along the line I read a reply was you have to install onto c:\...however in 2 days of searching I can't find the thread..hence my new topic question...and the net doesn't reveal any more info either.

Thanks in advance!

You can install it to any location - I have done so. As best I remember you can specify the install directory when you install it.

Thanks for the reply Al.
I thought I read a thread that mentioned you had to install Codewarrior into it's default location on c:\ to work correctly..but..since you've installed into another location that's good for me! :yeah!:
