FORD thermistor

Post by thecrew2999 »

i figure somebody might know what resistor i should use in my MS for on a ford taurus SHO im running in parallel with stock ECU im using the stock computer to control my cruise control, digital climate control and most importantly my fan since the stock computer uses the VSS and coolant sensor which i like the idea of because the fan will not run above 40mph so it dont burn the fan up... trust me i had one running in the past while i was driving and it wasent pretty.

the reason i figured someone might know is because you can calibrate the thermistor in the settings tab in tunestudio and its accurate even has setting spreset for ford chevy etc.

i did a search and didnt find anything

thanks

If you're running in parallel and splitting the signal, the correct answer is "none." Our Ford bias resistors are mostly for if you want to use an MS1 on its own without calibrating it with EasyTherm. The real question is what bias resistors the stock ECU has inside it. For how to measure this, see this link:
