Realtime Baro Correction for V3.57?
Can I install a MPX4250 Baro sensor and run realtime Baro correction on the 3.57 board ?
If so how is that done ?
Thanks for the help!

Did you see this:
http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/install.htm#baro The connections are labelled the same as the V3 board, so the instructions there apply, except you should use the ground in the proto area rather than D1.
and this:

I assumed the 3.0 instructions were close to correct for the 3.57 but did not find specific instruction as you provided...
I found this statement in the 3.57 information that appears to be relevant to this application
"The prototype area has not been implemented on the V3.57 board. Instead there is an unpopulated DB-15 PCB-mount socket (at the same end of the case as the DB-9), with the signals brought out to a series of pads (on 0.100 inch centers). The DB-15 socket is provided to allow I/O connector expansion (it will also require a custom end-plate with an additional cut-out for the DB-15). There are also additional mounting holes located in this area to allow the use of custom expansion boards. "
I looked at the schematic for the 3.57 found here http://www.megamanual.com/357/index.htm
but did not find an area labeled DB-15 and it sounds like there may be other steps to access the 5v and ground in the socket...
Thanks again for your help!

How do I identify the proto area?

Re: Realtime Baro Correction for V3.57?
I write the manual. However, since I don't have a 3.57 board (in fact I have never even seen one in person) it's hard for me to document it and offer troubleshooting advice.
In this case, however, from examining the schematics, the instructions should be:
Code: Select all
To add an independent baro sensor to your 3.57 main board, use an MPX4250AP (the standard MS sensor). Run leads from:
1. sensor pin #1 (signal) to header position JS5 on the V3.57 MegaSquirt® main board through a 1K Ohm resistor,
2. sensor pin #2 to ground - use one of the three SG sanctioned ground jumper locations,
3. sensor pin #3 to 5 Volts - use one of the three S5 sanctioned 5V jumper locations.
