Re: EDIS coil wiring diagram pins swapped
If it's the same as the 8 cylinder one, it does show the connections to the coils swapped. But also swaps the plug connections - so you end up OK. This got me confused as the coils were marked as to which cylinders they go to, and I had the connectors for both controller and coils with pigtails so wanted to use the correct colour cable.71911 wrote:I have a Ford EDIS-6. The MS wiring diagram shows pins 10-12 wired to corresponding pins 1-3 of the coilpack, but the color code on my unit shows that 10 (ylw/blk) goes to coilpack pin 3 (ylw/blk), pin 11 (ylw/wht) to coilpack pin 2 (ylw/wht and pin 12 (ylw/red) goin to coilpack pin 3 (ylw/blk). is this intentional or an error?

Re: EDIS coil wiring diagram pins swapped
EDIS module pin 10 = Spark A
EDIS module pin 11 = Spark C
EDIS module pin 12= Spark B
So on a MB straight six with 1-5-3-6-2-4 firing order the A coil (EDIS pin 10)fires 1/6, the B coil ( EDIS pin 12) fires 5/2 and the C coil ( EDISpin 11) fires 3/4
Best regards
