Noid light construction

Noid light construction

Anyone knows what electronic parts i need no assemble a noid light to check if my low z injectors are getting a signal;
I know about the 12v lamp and others, but just interested in this option :)

if you are just wondering if they are opening or not, you can just listen to them though a screwdriver (or automotive stethoscope). the z injectors chatter really loud so you might not even need that.

IIRC, they're just an LED and suitable series resistor. Roughly 1000 ohms should be fine.

A dwell gauge - used for checking points gap electronically - is very useful for injectors as it shows the mark space ratio. Some auto DVMs have one built in - or they often come up for pennies at autojumbles.

I got a whole set at O"Reiley's for around $20. Billk
MSII V3 board, 2.891 revision, 330 inch '56 Desoto Hemi in a '50 Mercury. 350 Chevy throttle body. Stepper IAC. Innovate wide band O2.

i actually had to check for signal to one of my injectors and i just used an led from a diesel truck (24v) and it worked great. it has a resistor on it but i dunno what the resistance is (didnt measure). works great, you can also just use an automotive test lamp also. just a quick 2 cents
