Tuner Studio V1.13 Upgrade Errors

Hi, Hoping to get some advice please.

After upgrading to Tuner Studio 1.13 thanks to a pop-up upgrade reminder, i started getting errors. The first says that signatures don't match. The second says that the tune file that I save is null. I can send screen shots if necessary. Question, how do I fix this? Do these errors affect my tunes or not allow me to save changes etc? I'm using code 2.6 ini V3 from megatune.

This sounds similar to another post with more current firmware, but you are using a much older firmware.

I could not reproduce with the new firmware, let me try with the older on.

What version of TS did you upgrade from?
Was it 1.004 or an older beta?

Would you be able to zip up your project and send it to me at p_tobin <at> yahoo.com?

I just tried this with both Windows XP and Win 7 using MSII 2.67 firmware on an MS2

- Installed 1.004
- Created a new Project for 2.6000
- Connected to the controller
- Closed TS
- Reopened TS
- Saved an msq
- Closed TS
- Opened TS accepted the update to 1.14
- Let it restart, it connected without errors or warnings.

So I probably need more info on what TS you were using, and maybe what steps you took prior to the ini mismatch.

Didn't mean to confuse anyone, the email worked but the TS is still saying that the signatures don't match. It can connect, however the file still says null.

Update to 1.14.1.
Have you tried creating a new project?

I would still like to see what happened to your project if you can send it. I got your msq, but i really need to see the whole project.

I just did, no issues so far with connecting.

Couple weird things are happening.

First, WUE stays on. It never turns off and it used to.

When I'm using the VE maps to tune and pull them up, using my arrow keys the red ball goes in opposite directions. For example, when viewing the map in the correct direction, when I want to move the bal right to where the blue cursor is it goes to the left. If I hit left it goes right. WEird.

I'll send over my project now.

Update, so now I have 1.004 loaded, and I feel like I have several folders, code etc and I'm a little confused, I think I have confused my computer.

With 1.004 on there I still have issues connecting. when it does, it will freeze if I rev the car or pretty much AT after I drive. Can someone please look at my project file. See if I'm missing something or what I am doing wrong here. It worked FINE for so long. NOt sure what happened.

If you are getting dropouts while using 1.004, there is an issue with your connection.

If primarily when reving and driving and it worked fine before...

1 of 2 things must have happened:
1) EM noise increased in the car for some reason
2) Something caused you setup to be more susceptible to EM noise.

For #1, Any changes to your cabling? Perhaps wear, bending, solder comes loose...

For #2, any changes to your engine that might make noise higher? Different/damaged plug wires, mis-fires, loosened ground?

ok, honestly I will be the first to say that I'm not a computer wiz, and that I have a ton of folders associated with Tuner Studio. I would like to save my most recent tune and then delete everything and start over and download TS 1.004 fro you again. I have some files that say null, and some that say comm 8 in the configuration. Also, in the folder that I open, it does not contain the ini 2.6 that I need. Could TS be running off of the wrong ini and that be causing the issues?

If you were running off the wrong ini it would be popping up error messages "INI Mis-match" errors as soon as you connect.

If you want to start fresh, it is really the "TunerStudioProjects" folder, zip that up for safe keeping, then delete the actual folder or do this with what ever other places you might be storing TS Projects. The install should be fine.

Then create a brand new project by just walking through the wizard.

If you know what project you are using now, you can zip it up and email it to me, I will see if there anything looks out of sorts.

You know, I had one person that had similar issues, it turned out he had set up his MS as a CAN Device. On the CAN devices tab of Project properties, you don't happen to have any devices in the list? It should be empty unless you have a GPIO board or some other secondary board.
