TS PDF manual?

For discussing Phil Tobin's TunerStudio MS is the MegaSquirt edition of TunerStudio, a next generation tuning application. It provides the ability to configure and tune all MegaSquirt controllers and is 100% compatible with MegaTune ini files and msq's.

Is there an online or PDF help manual for TS?

There is no PDF...

Actually the thing is, it is really a matter of what documentation you are looking for. Once you are looking for anything related to tuning or configuring you controller, you are really looking for firmware documentation or the megamanual. The firmware documentation will change depending on your firmware TunerStudio has help build in, but that focused on purely TunerStudio core functionality like creating a project and operating VE Analyze live.

When using of the manuals, if they say MegaTune, don't worry. TunerStudio is loading the same ini files and all settings will be in the same place.
I know Lance has been making a lot of progress on getting documents up dated. I was recently shocked when I ran across a new set of documentation he has on useasydocs.com. Thanks Lance!

Phil,

No problem, it's good to get these things up to date. The new MicroSquirt v3 docs will be the blueprint for future docs from B&G, like for the Sequencer, etc.

We do have some TS specific instructions on the megasquirt sites, especially in the parameters guide: http://www.megamanual.com/mt37.htm and CAN setup: http://www.msgpio.com/manuals/mshift/cpt.html, though a lot of work remains to be done on these.

BTW, the megatune sub-forum here was merged with the TS sub-forum a few days ago (posts/threads there were moved here), so MT is no longer associated with it's own Q&A. I have also removed all references to MT from the manual table of contents: http://www.megamanual.com/mtabcon.htm Hopefully that will steer people towards TS.

I am also going through all the docs (many hundreds of web pages!) as I have time and updating them to refer to TS everywhere. This is a bit of a slow process - it certainly isn't as simple as a 'find and replace' since the replacement needs to refer to TS functions and features where applicable. But we will get there!

Lance.

Lance,
That is cool that you merged the forums... One less to keep track of and probably less confusing to new comers. Awesome1

I am with you on the documents... I can't believe how much documentation you manage!
