Ms2 V# board users in Virginia 757

Post by Chef SC300 »

Hello all im building my MS2 to run a 2jzge motor with dizzy. I have had a issue where im not getting power to half of the board ( LED's wont light cant load on MS2 mother board). I used the Stim 2.2 and a volt meter to test all my connections and i cant pin point any problems of dead diodes or blown capacitors (C22). I checked for bridged connects also and nothing was touching. went back and checked DB9 and im getting 5v there the proto area is also getting 5v. I would like to get someone in the Virginia area to take a look at the board to see if i missed something witch i have checked 9 times now.

Thanks,
Chef

Diagnosis-by-LED can be a dangerous thing - there is no power on LED; they only light when the firmware commands them to. And when there is no firmware, they won't be commanded to.

I've got a checklist if you want to examine this more closely. But if you need another pair of eyes to go over this one, Peter Florance runs a good MegaSquirt repair service and is in your state.

So after sitting down and rechecking everything i tried to load the frame ware. I got this message:

MegaSquirt Download 2.00

Reading C:/Users/Chef Jr/Documents/Monitor_v2.905.abs.s19:
Detected MS-II (HCS12) code.
Entry point: 0x0000
Code range : 0x4000-0x3db360
File read successfully.

Opened comm port 4 at 115200.
Erasing main FLASH:
ERROR: Command not recognized, e=0xE1
Elapsed time: 0.46 seconds

now im just wondering what to do next.

Did you have the boot jumper on the daughter card in place across both pins?
