Trying to figure out step 22 (MS2 board 3.0)

Post by MK2GTi »

I am having some difficulty understanding step 22.
I know i am not going to use a stepper motor but then it states "If you will be using an ignition output signal to control a coil or ignition module with MS-II, you will, likely be directed to jumper JS10 to:
IGN, or
IGBTIN, with IGBTOUT jumpered to IGN "

Do I need to just ignor this now and it will be addressed later?

I am going to be running this on a Volkswagon 1.8T 20v with coil on ignition (w/ built in ignitors) dual waste spark. I will be running a cable throtle body with a set screw for idle and no A/C.

Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks.

I am about 6 hours into this. And have made it to step 55. I highlighted this step. Because I found this and will maybe do this. http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/vb921.htm This also means I can do this jumper later.

If you are using the MS2/Extra mods to add extra spark outputs, please check the separate MS2/Extra support forum on MSExtra.com. The MS2/Extra code makes running wasted spark pretty straightforward. With Bowling & Grippo code covered on this forum, the easiest way to do wasted spark would be an EDIS swap.
