flyback circuit

Post by 8803 »

I am at step #69 and I am not clear on the difference between the "standard flyback" circuit and " PWM flyback" circuit. Are they saying that PWM flyback will operate both low and high impedance injectors and Standard flyback will only operate high impedance? Which circuit offers the most choices of injectors?
I am building a '70s (2) cylinder engine.

As you pointed out in your post, the PWM is necessary only if you will be using low-z injectors.

To answer your question more directly, you will have more choices (hi-z or low-z) by installing the PWM flyback. If you have no intention to use low impedance injectors you will not need the PWM circuit.

On the other hand, it will hurt nothing, if you build the circuit anyway.

Hope that helps...........
