Setting Manifold Absolute Pressure For "Generate VE Table"

For discussing Phil Tobin's TunerStudio MS is the MegaSquirt edition of TunerStudio, a next generation tuning application. It provides the ability to configure and tune all MegaSquirt controllers and is 100% compatible with MegaTune ini files and msq's.

Setting Manifold Absolute Pressure For "Generate VE Table"

Post by 2013T »

Hello,

I am trying to create a VE table to tune a CNG engine using throttle body injection. When I try to generate a VE table it asks for the MAP at idle and peak vales. I am not sure of the MAP that are predicted for my specific engine running natural gas. Does anyone have an idea of which MAP I can use. Also will this VE table generator create a usable values for NG not gasoline?

Thanks,
Sam

That would be the MAP reading when the HP was measured, If you are running Naturally Aspirated it would typically be SAE or STD conditions, in either case 100-101.5 is typically plenty close for a starter table.
