Accel Enrichment

Post by jamesbryan »

Having starting issues. Just cranks and cranks. If I open the throttle a bit it tries to fire up, but just for a sec. Looking at my data logs it shows accel enrichment at 100% i was reading through the other post looking for an answer and saw where Matt stated that the the enrichment should not be on during cranking.

MS-II ver 3.0 Its a new board as I just finished it and installed. Using EDIS 6 for ignition.

Got it figured out. after several days of checking eveything, Redoing grounds, TPS wiring, IAC steps and all. I sat down and was looking through the "Performance Fuel Injection Systems" book, and got to the section of "if car fails to start"..... I've done everything but check my timing while cranking it over. I hooked up my timing light and cranked it. and it was way off. Started checking each wire till i got the right one for #1. Sure as $h!t i had the EDIS coil pack plug wires flipped. Got the right wires in the right order and it fired right up. Now on to the tuning part.....Dont trust everything you see on the internet. The EDIS 6 coil pack spark plug wiring diagram for a 60 degree V6 was backwards.

Still dont know about the 100% accel enrichment though..... But it runs and that half the battle... :D

It looks like the Accel Enrich number is a multiplier on your firmware - 100% corresponding to no enrichment.
