I see this board complete

Post by gath »

I want to buy this board from a seller who says that it is a Megasquirt v 3.0, but it looks like it has a lot components lacking. Like a number of resistors and some transistors. What do you think? Thnx.

Looks like MS1 v. 3.0 alright......

But, based on that picture, I would hesitate to guess what it was set up for (based on the uninstalled components)........

It appears to have the VR input missing. What's strange is Q12 missing for Inj 2, and some signs of bodging to Q9, its counterpart on Inj 1.

It might be worth a punt if it's cheap - all the parts can be bought easily. If the PCB itself is undamaged. Which may be a big if.

In the UK, a fully populated and working MS1 V3 would make about £150 used. I'd not be inclined to pay much more than £50 for that one unseen.

Input was very helpful, I will just opt out on it coz 'am new to this.. besides, I don't even know how to test it. I would rather pay more and get a known function assembly, Thnx.

Got it!

Have you checked with DIYAutoTune? They have a lot of stuff over there.

Can I safely assume that you did not buy the board that you originally posted about?

Definitely not the one I had posted about. And I have found the adapter I was looking for @ DIYAutoTune.
