Trimming VE cell.

For discussing Phil Tobin's TunerStudio MS is the MegaSquirt edition of TunerStudio, a next generation tuning application. It provides the ability to configure and tune all MegaSquirt controllers and is 100% compatible with MegaTune ini files and msq's.

Trimming VE cell.

Post by trakkies »

What I'd like is an easy way of trimming an individual VE cell while cruising at a steady speed. Think I could probably make up a USB 'keyboard' with only up/down arrow buttons (or Q & W ) or whatever) to plug into my laptop. Something which could be easily hand held, to operate without having to look at it.

So I could easy set the mixture (with reference to my wideband O2 readout) at a specific engine speed/load while driving myself.

Mainly for low speed stuff. My car is an auto and spends quite a bit of time in top gear at just above idle engine speed in slow moving traffic. And I'm finding it difficult to set the mixture for optimum economy at this low engine output - it's fine at higher loads/speeds.

I've been trying to do this by reference to logs but is pretty time consuming - so being able to do it on the fly would be great.

If course there may well be a way of doing this I've just missed in the instructions. Wouldn't be the first time. :D

If you use the 3D Tuning dialog and put it in follow mode, it will pretty much do what you are saying.
