Been away for a couple years - where to start

Post by fordfanboi »

I just moved from Colorado ( 5000' elev ) to Texas ( 400' elev ) and need to get back up to speed on tuning my existing MS2 setup - I haven't really changed much in 5? years.

I'd like to get the latest of everything. I just purchased the Android logging app and had purchased the laptop based tuning software a while back. Has much changed in 2-3 years - where should I start? haha

Thanks all!

Found my registration for TunerStudio and grabbed the latest as well as the latest Shadow Logger. Next place I'm looking is: http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/code.htm My existing setup should still function with the latest .s19, correct? ( version is listed in sig I think )

I went ahead and left the firmware alone and have a pretty stable tune for the new altitude. I did update TunerStudio / Mega Log Viewer however.

I'm ready to update the firmware. After updating the firmware, will I need to try to recall the settings or will all settings migrate without issue? Basically, can I follow the steps to download the latest firmware and INI then be done?

Thanks!

This previous post was too good to pass up. It's almost exactly my situation, but in reverse.
In my case I moved from California (elev. 37) to Colorado (elev. 7,000).
Anyway, I got a new computer for the house and changed my e-mail address.
I would like to upgrade the programs MegaTune or TunerStudio and MegaLogViewer so I can work with the old 2.88 programing in the 71 Monti Carlo and the 59 Cadillac with the 502 Chevy in it. It runs fine and gets 25 MPG but the altitude difference means I should correct a few things.
So since I need to change my e-mail address, where should I go for that change?
I still have all my registration information for the TS and the MLV. Where should I go to update the information and get any updates?
Almost Forgot, my new e-mail is
Drholl@powerc(dot)net

Thanks guys. It’s been a long time. :)
