Base tune for a tbi 4.3L?

Post by 91zuki »

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this, and I'm having a bit of trouble getting a solid base tune down for my Tbi 4.3L v6 :|
I was hoping someone would be kind enough to provide me with a tune to start with?
Running the Megasquirt II pcb 3.0
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It is seldom that you will find tune files that apply to your particular setup. In the couple of MS projects I have done (both B&G and Extra code), I have always started with the default msq supplied with the firmware. And that would be my recommendation to anyone starting out with a new MS installation.

Can you post your msq and log? They could be quite helpful to everyone in making suggestions to help you get going.

Ok, sorry about the newbie questions.
I've seen some dodge and toyota 4cyl turbo .msq files posted on various sites, so i thought i'd cross my fingers and try my luck.
Here's my .msq file and log. if anyone could give me some pointers or point me in the right direction that would be awesome!

Hello,

Do you still look at this forum?

Have you finished your tune on your 4.3 tbi?

I am in the process of trying to get a base tune for my 4.3 tbi. I put in some of the general settings that they suggest in the manual but it dies after about 2 seconds of running. I tried increasing the afterstart enrichment and went well higher then the parameters specified in the manual. That got me to about 4 seconds.

So I was wondering if you got yours straightened out.
