Ford sensors

Post by allenvos »

Going to be running mega squirt 1 pcb 3.0 on a turbo charged 302 HO ford
can I use the original ford coolant temp and air intake temperature sensor(open style element), rather than using the GM sensors????

If so what do I have to do to make this work??

Thanks

One more question

The reccomended GM air intake temperature sensor is what they call
an open element sensor which is better for faster response time on a turbo charged motor.

The OEM ford sensor appears to be an open element sensor as well.

Will it work ok in a turbo charged application????

Thanks

Sounds like it should be fine. Can you take a picture of it and post it here?

Our digital camera is screwed right now, but as soon as I can get ahold of one I will post a picture.

Thanks for all the input so far
