Ok... so I used a 12 volt source (while uploading the firmware and connecting to TunerStudio) and I still cant get the TPS to give me an ADC reading lower than the max (1023). Here's where I'm at so far:

-probed pin 19 (ground) and pin 26 (tps) from under the daughter card socket with a multimeter and get vary voltages (~0.56v to 5.0v) while vary the potentiometer
-using the latest MS2 firmware = Monitor_v2.920.abs.s19 from http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/code.htm (i have a msII 2005 board with the blue mask.. is this correct? are all blue boards using this code?)
-uploaded it with the uploader provided on the page
-upload the correct .ini file in TunerStudio (tried both ways with new projects.. using the ini on the ms2/code page and also, uploading one from the server).
-set the ecu type to MSII (under the fuel, general settings) in TunerStudio (instead of the 255 it reads)
-try to set the calibration for the tps by hitting "get current" and moving the pot to see if any position gives a different reading.

Is there anything else I need to check/try, or have I eliminated everything but the daughtercard?

Thanks again.

This is sounding like a problem with the daughter card, sorry.

ok Thank you! While that kinda sucks, at least I can finally finish the board while ordering a new one (or maybe upgrade to ms3 daughtercard).

It's possible to replace the processor on a daughter card. Usual cost about 50% of a new card. But first check the appropriate track continuity on the PCB. If you find a faulty one, a DIY repair is possible with care.
