Hi! Im just wondering if it goes lean when the fuel cut applied? I tried using spark retard but the rev. still goes up.Fuel cut seems a lot accurate, but I just wanna make sure its safe and it doesnt goes lean especially especially when bouncing the rev.limiter.

Thanks!

Generally when fuel cut is used there is just air being pumped so it's not lean as there should be no fuel whatsoever passing through the chamber.

Thanks Mike for your reply.I tried it last Sunday at autocross and nothing goes wrong when I bounced the rev. limiter.

Hi,

is there a relevant disadvantage with using "spark cut" as a rev-limiter ?
I could think of EGT raising which might be bad as one could manage to drive for some time with retarded spark (?) at high load conditions.
What about the catalysator ?

I use spark cut as a rev limiter that sets off the butt dyno telling me I forgot to shift gears. Cutting fuel when using a turbo is bad.
