Accel Enrichment randomly triggering- any speed/load

Hello Everyone.
I've been noticing uneven idle/warmup for a couple of months... yeah yeah- I hear what you're thinking ;-) but the vehicle after being warmed up runs very well and I've been too busy to look at a "small" problem.
MS2b, TPI, 8 pin hei 350 I'm digging around for the code version...
I'm on holidays far far from home and while driving down the highway (snow/ice) the accel enrichment light is flashing on-off every couple of seconds quite randomly. I don't think my foot is moving the slightest.
My vehicle, a jeep, is really light so when the accel enrich kicks in it really pulls and the wheels on ice can almost break free...
I've got my computer and serial cable with me--- total luck/fluke and first sild the map/tps ace slider from 60% to 25%. This corrected about 70% of the bucking/surging. 45 minutes later of highway driving I stopped to fuel up and then slid the slider back to the left all the way to zero.
The random/bucking has stopped.
Without me posting any logs is there anything that anyone here could think of?
Thanks,
Jim
