I got a really big issue, my PWM to the injectors are (0) when I'm cranking, when i put the throttle to MAX, I only get 0,3 ms ? ! I have changed EVERYTHING, accelenrichement, VE, etc...

Anyone familiar with this problem ?

Regard Tom

Post some information on your engine -displacement, inj. size, induction setup etc.

Is this a new install or is the problem with a previously running engine?

Post your msq. :?

You are most likely in flood clear mode, meaning that MegaSquirt thinks you have the throttle wide open and is not injecting fuel. Check your TPS (and recalibrate as necessary). If you don't have a TPS, be sure to ground the TPS sensor wire (DB37 pin #22) though a 1K Ohm (or more) resistor.

OK, i send my Msq and my logg file from where I'm cranking, if you are interrested..

As for the TPS, I did what's said in the Megamanual how to wire it and so on, and I can se on Megatune how it works proper !
But can it still be wrong ?

Thanks for your answer anyway :)

It's a newly installed MSII 3.57 with v2.885, ordered from DIYAutoTune !
My school-project, so i really need to get this car going. I have been asking around here in Sweden, but apperently it's to new for these guys here..

Tom,
The Flood clear appears to be operating correctly. The PW = 0 when the TPS < 70. When TPS > 70, PW = 0.3ms = flood clear value. Also, the TPS appears to functioning correctly and the values for:
<constant name="tpsMax" units="ADC">942</constant>
<constant name="tpsMin" units="ADC">116</constant>
in the .msq file look reasonable.

I have not idea why the PW = 0 during cranking - the signals all look good - pretty clean electrical setup based on VBatt / RPM looks good.

I noticed a few things:
1. Fuel_Setup > General settings > ECU Type (1=MSII, 2=MicroSquirt) = 1
If you have the 3.57 board (all surface mount components), this is MicroSquirt => set this to 2.
Validate what hardware you have before changing this as it can be hard on things.
http://www.megamanual.com/mt28.htm
The difference between the systems is related to charging of the coil.

2. GBaro = -24344 for the entire log. This seems odd to me. I would disable
Fuel_Setup > General settings > Barometric Correction = Disabled
for the moment. I doubt that this has much to do with it, as MAP/BARO looks okay, but might as well eliminate variables.

3. Ignition advance = 65 degrees during cranking. This may be related to #1, but I am not really sure. Describing if you are running fuel only or fuel + ignition may be useful. Validating the actual timing with a timing light is a good idea.

Good luck with you project.

V3.57 boards must have the ECU type set to 1 unless you have added the Microsquirt dual spark mods. There's been a bit of confusion about this, but setting the ECU type to 2 with a normal V3.57 will make the injector drivers act rather strangely.

Matt, thank you for catching the ECU setting. I reread what is in the manual, and it is confusing...

Tom,
To get the cranking PW, try changing
Fuel_set_up > 2-point Barometric Correction > At total vacuum % = 147
Fuel_set_up > 2-point Barometric Correction > Rate % = -47

On your set up, these are set to 3277.0 / -27649. These values are outside of the limits.

I checked your file before and after this change with 2.886 and it corrected the cranking PW. I never ran the 2.885 software, but I doubt there is much difference.

[edit:] Also drop the cranking RPM from 1000 to 300
Fuel_set_up > Other Fuel Settings > Max Cranking Speed (RPM) = 300 [end]

Thanks ALOT for your answer, I don't know witch setting wich did this... But the PW did go up to 3ms now :D

All thanks to you and everyone else who helped me at this forum !
