I'm currently considering using a Megasquirt to control my GM 2.2 L61 engine. It's currently running a supercharger which was configured by a tuning company using the car's original ECU. I want to get rid of the original ECU and use the Megasquirt :)
So what I'm doing now is figuring out which bits of the original engine & sensors that I can use. I'm mostly satisfied that I'll need a new 36-1 trigger wheel, new map sensor (built into megasquirt) and I'm going to use the megasquirt-approved air and temperature sensors.

I'd like to know wether my current FPR will be suitable to be used with MS. It's a variable rate regulator with a vacuum connection, which is built into the end of the fuel rail.. I'm not sure what bar it runs at. Will this be able to be used with MS or do I need a fixed rate one where I can know the pressure?

That regulator should be just fine.

BTW, I'm not too up on GM engine codes, but if that has a "7X" trigger wheel, check out the GMDIS guide. You may not need a 36-1 wheel after all.
