intake air temp sensor on throttle bodies?

hi there everyone,

i'm new to this megasquirt stuff, but it has been highly recommended and so have started doing my research on it. looking for help for more :D

currently i have a ford focus, 1.8 and have installed throttle bodies to it, also running it on standard ecu for now.

the thing i was wondering is what would i do about the IAC sensor, as i would not be able to read the air temperature going into the engine as it is installed on the MAF.

any ideas?

thanks

ieuan

You can put it anywhere it will read the temperature of incoming air. Intake pipe, air filter, you can even put it in the manifold.

I had my IAT in the air filter when I was running normally aspirated and it worked fine.

hi there,

sorry had a few issues with last account, give wrong email lol.

yea i have bike throttle bodies though, so will probs be running without air filter or maybe even small filers. either way i will have 4 air intakes. so confused how it would work. its easy enough now as i have had to link them all up to air filter for it to run on standard management. but surely it is restricting my air flow.

thanks
