Microsquirt for Ignition and FI on a Harley Twin Cam

I have an '01 Harley Ultra Classic Twin cam engine and trans originally a magneti marelli ingection system that I am using in a custom bike. I would like to use a microsquirt to control the ignition initially and later on FI too. I did several searches and didn't come up with much of anything here on the forums. Does anyone have any experience with using a microsquirt to control either the ignition or injection on the Harleys? Any links to threads? I have a couple of coils that should work with the Microsquirt (Dynatek DC11-2 coils 0.5 ohms) I also have a Mikuni 45mm carb I was planning on using initially. Any suggestions for a trottle body and injectors to use for the FI? The engine will be 100 cu. in. and streetable but very strong.

I believe it's been done before. How are the trigger teeth arranged for the ignition system?

I am not sure on the trigger teeth, I will have to check. I am fairly certain it has both a cam and crank sensor.

The coils I have are dual output and I have two of them. I was planning on having the option to go dual plugs. I think that you can get away with 1/2 to 1 full point of compression more with dual plugs in these engines. The coils should work fine with only one wire attached until then.

Ok, you'll want to see if the trigger teeth fall under one of the dual spark categories. If not, you may need to use a new crank wheel.

I know this is an old thread but I am finally able to get back on this project. It appears that both the crank and cam are inductive pick ups. The crank appears to be 30 teeth (32-2 adjacent teeth). The cam appears to be one trigger on one cam, so one pulse every other rotation of the engine. Reading through the information this appears to be an ideal setup for the Microsquirt. Am I reading this correctly?

Yeah, that shouldn't be too hard to make it work.

I have a few questions on products. What is the best way to ask those, email, phone call? Do your website enquires go to you directly?
