MS1 on v2.2 knock-off from Turkey?

I see quite a few MS1 ECU's ona v2.2 board advertised on Ebay Motors and the listings show that they originate from Turkey.
Anyone know anything about these? Are the counterfit units? They seem to be quite reasonable.

Personally, I'd stick with with genuine B&G hardware from a reputable distributor, that way you know what you're getting and you'll have the support you need if you run into trouble.
On a side note: I' pretty sure discussing non-B&G ecus violates the terms of use on these forums, we might get in trouble with the moderators if we continue to discuss knock-off ecus.

OK, but how do you tell if something that is advertised is indeed a knock-off?
How do I know if someone in Turkey didn't buy some old cache of authentic
v2.2 boards and that is what they are selling?
As an uninformed buyer who does not know the complete list of "good" board
and system distributors I don't have enough information.
Why would someone duplicate the v2.2 boards verses the v3.0 ones anyway?

StevenD57,
Vendors that have proven to be reliable are listed here:
http://www.megamanual.com/v22manual/mintro.htm#group
Thanks for alerting us to the possible counterfeits, we will look into it.
The V2.2 board is very simple, while the V3 board is much more complicated and has more layers, so it's much harder to duplicate (but more useful to most users).

All,
Bowling and Grippo have never produced a main board with a red solder mask. Some of the units from Turkey apparently have a red solder mask. If you get one of these, none of the assembly instructions or troubleshooting advice here applies. In addition, we cannot support you efforts with those boards here. You may wish to ask for your money back (and complain to eBay if you don't get it).

I have a photo of the inside of one of these ECUs and the board is the normal green color and has the B&G markings on it.

The red boards also had B&G markings on them - they appear to have been cloned from the PDFs on the MegaManual.
On the other hand, the MegaSquirts from MegaECU.com are the genuine article - not all Turkish MegaSquirts are fake.

Fake - the silk screen is wrong. Appears the counterfeiters finally figured out what color the board should be.

They could have at least spelled 'copyright' correctly! Unbelievable. Sorta.
