Limit for Tooth Counting

I am researching for a possible MS2 install on my '87 Porsche 951 (944 turbo). I would really like to use as much of the stock system as possible. The first hurdle seems to be the tach signal. This car uses a 132 tooth wheel with a 1 tooth reference on the cam, both VR. My question is, will MS2 be able to deal with the voltage peaks being output from the VR tach sensor? Or, is it more likely that the MS2 won't be able to keep up with 132 teeth at 7k rpm? I have seen a workaround for the high voltage issue on the MicroSquirt forum ( http://www.microsquirt.com/viewtopic.php?f=87&t=23063 ). It seems that will work for MicroSquirting a 951. But I was looking at building an MS2 kit rather than just buying the MicroSquirt pre-assembled. Does anyone have any experience with using the MS2 on the 951 with the stock triggering setup?

Guess, I spoke a little too soon. After looking through the manual I see the changes suggested in the MicroSquirt forum were applied to the MS2. I guess my question then becomes, anyone have experience running with a tooth count this high? Sorry for the double post, it wouldn't let me edit my previous entry.

what did you end up doing for your 951 for a trigger?
