Ebay universal Adjustable fuel pressure regulators

Post by heychris_1 »

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the adjustable fuel pressure regulators on ebay. They've got kits that come with hose barbs and a gauge for $20-$40. The alternative is an aeromotive or similar. Both Jegs and Summit don't sell a AFPR that has smaller inlet/outlets than 6AN. My car is a 1970 BMW 2002 with a 2L 4 cyl. I am installing 5/16 aluminum fuel line, I'd hope to get a similar sized AFPR.

Appreciate any help

Do you mean something like this? :-

Admin Edit: eBay links are not allowed in this forum.

I bought one and wasn't impressed. Pressure disappeared the second the pump stopped. The diaphragm appeared to be made out of some hard plastic and didn't seal at all well. I enquired from the vendor about buying a spare - and of course no spares available.

IMHO it makes things easier to start with a decent fuel reg. FSE do a good non rising rate one sold for turbo cars - as with an MS rising rate offers no advantages, and can make tuning more difficult.
