Hello everybody

Can anyone actually confirm that motronic V 1.3 have a prime pulse ? (turns on the fuel pump for a short time when you turn on the ignition).
Or do all EFI systems do this ?

I was just discussing it with a friend

Most systems do do this as the fuel rail doesn't hold its pressure indefinitely. The reason is doesn't run continuously with the engine stopped is to avoid flattening the battery and/or flooding the engine if you have a leaking injector.

FWIW in MegaSquirtSpeak, priming pulse refers to the injectors opening for a short time at switch on, to expel any air from the fuel rail.
