I'm used to disabling MAP and TPS dot when tuning. Is there the same need (if indeed it ever was a good idea) with VE analyse Live?

I recommend against disabling AE while using VE Analyze as the direct records are filtered, and no AE can create a lean condition for several records later causing VE Analyze to over compensate.

Thanks, Phil. For once the easy option is also the best one. ;-)

Another question. There are send and burn buttons. I assume burn does both? But even if clicking on both, and saving the file, if I quit Analyse then open it again it tells me I've not sent the last data. TS says all data burnt.

Hi Dave,

As I understand it:

Send - transfers the local settings on your laptop in to the temporary RAM memory on the MegaSquirt
Burn - issues a command to burn the temporary RAM memory to the non-volatile Flash memory

So you have to do both otherwise it won't stick after power cycling the MS.

Are you stopping the autotune function and then hitting send and burn? Otherwise it may be changing the table after you have pressed burn?

Burn does do both on VE Analyze.

Is VE Analyze still running?

If you are on 0.999.7, it might be good to upgrade to 0.999.8o, I have fixed some of the logic in there. So I bet that will stop the prompts.

Thanks Phil - I've downloaded 0.999.8o and will give it a try.
