Printable PDF of MegaManual HERE

Post by Dr. Righteous »

After finding out the MegaManual was not available as a complete PDF suitable for printing I took some time and did the "mouse work" myself. This involved resizing photos and charts from the webpage, as well as spacing the blocks of text to best fit letter size pages. Also I took the liberty to correct numerous spelling boo-boos. Since the idea is to print the manual for a 3 ring binder and create a handy resource and workbook, I added 10 pages of NOTES sheets at the end to be distributed in the various sections of the manual. The goal here was not to create a book, so there is no table of contents or page numbering.
It was to render the online manual into a form that is more convenient to use.

At the upper left click file and choose the option to download the doc.

I'm ONLY making this doc available HERE. Nowhere else on the web.

Dr.R,

Thanks for doing this, we know how much work it can be.

Please put the copyright notices in place on every printable page of the manual. We insist on this. This easy to do with the footers.

Users should note that the links to other pages in the manual don't appear to work in this document. So jumping to referenced material isn't easy (links can often be inserted in docs like this, but this is a ton of work that has to be re-done with every revision).

Also, this document will go out of date as updates, revisions, and corrections are made to the web site - you might want to note that prominently in the manual to keep people from making mistakes based on old information.

The hyperlinks in the doc still work if your PDF reader supports it. Most PDF readers have this feature turned off by default. Check the security settings in your PDF reader.

I will revise the doc and insert the trademark information and notes about the pertinent things you mentioned.

Thanks

Dr.R,

Ah, okay, I see now. I was going only by what I saw on Google docs, but once I download the doc and open it locally the links work fine. Thanks!

I'm new to the forum and to MS. Being able to download the manual and read it when not online is very helpful. Thank you! :D
